Where is Silver Spring Studio located?

Silver Spring Studio is located at Silver Spring Farm (OCAP Silver Spring Farm), and is not on the OCAP farm property itself.

What days and hours is the studio open?

Silver Spring Studio runs two classes per day, Monday through Friday: 9:00–12:00 and 1:00–4:00. Evening and weekend sessions are available for special events.

Studio space may be available for special arrangements and reservations for community events.

Who can participate?

Our classes are designed for adults 16+ with exceptionalities living in Ottawa and the surrounding area. Customers can register for classes through My Community Hub.

Who is eligible to attend?

Silver Spring Studio is open to adults 16+ with exceptionalities. Customers do not need prior art or creative experience — all skill levels are welcome.

How do I register my family member for classes?

Fill out our online intake form — it takes about 10 minutes and covers basic contact information, class preferences, and any support considerations we should know about.

Is there a waitlist?

Class spots are limited to 15 customers per session. If a class is at capacity when you apply, we will add your family member to our waitlist and contact you as soon as a spot becomes available. We recommend submitting the intake form as early as possible to secure your preferred schedule.

Do I need prior experience to join a workshop?

Not at all. Every class is designed to be welcoming to customers of all skill levels.

What programs and activities does the studio offer?

Our classes cover a wide range of creative and practical activities, including visual arts (drawing and painting), cooking and baking (breads, cookies, cakes, and more), gardening and farm-to-table experiences, and crafts such as soap making, candle making, and more.

How long is each class?

Each class is 3 hours long. Classes run 9:00–12:00 and 1:00–4:00, Monday through Friday, with Saturday classes also available. Evening and weekend sessions are available and vary depending on special events.

How much do classes cost?

Classes start at $70. We believe cost should not be a barrier to participation. Fees can be supported through Passport (for people 21+) or SSAH (Special Services at Home) funding (for people under 21).
