Volunteer with Us

Our volunteers are a vital part of the Silver Spring Studio family. From helping facilitate workshops to supporting participants during sessions, volunteers bring energy, skills, and heart to everything we do. No specific qualifications are required - just a genuine enthusiasm for creativity and inclusion.

Assist artist educators during art, cooking, crafts, and garden sessions - helping customers work through activities at their own pace.

Capture behind-the-scenes moments during sessions to help document the studio's story on social media and the website.

Skills-Based Support

Have a skill to share - woodworking, cooking, pottery, music? We'd love to have you lead or co-lead a session as a guest instructor.

Time commitment: Flexible - we welcome both one-time and recurring volunteers. Most sessions run weekdays and Saturdays.

Requirements: Volunteers working directly with customers must provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Check. We can guide you through the process.

Special Events

Support weekend and evening special events such as farm fun days, weekend workshops, birthday parties, Christmas gatherings, book fairs, family picnics, and other community events at the Studio.

When facilitating a class as an artist educator, we ask for a minimum commitment of 4 hours per class to ensure a consistent experience for our customers.
